Case IH engineers know there's no magic behind providing engine performance that maximises economy and productivity. It's good solid science; match engine displacement and horsepower rating to the machine and its drive train. That's why Patriot sprayers have plenty of power and a longer service life.
New for the Patriot 4430 is the use of the 8.7 litre Case IH FPT engine with a base horsepower rating of 325 hp and peak horsepower of 356 hp at 2100 rpm. In addition, peak torque increases to 1470 Nm at 1500 rpm.
While the engine installation may be new to the Patriot sprayer line, it is not new to Case IH products. The 8.7 litre Case IH FPT engines can be found in Steiger and Magnum tractors, where they are tested to be the highest performers in horsepower efficiency and fuel economy.
The 6.7 litre Case IH FPT engine is used in the Patriot 3330. These sprayers perform well in all field conditions and provide reduced operational costs due to their optimal fuel efficiency.
