RACINE, Wis. - The Case IH 3020 Flex Head has been honored with an AE50 award for 2011. Sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), this prestigious award annually recognizes the most innovative agriculture equipment products around the world.

The award-winning products were announced at ASABE's Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference on January 6, 2011, and will be recognized at the Ag Connect Expo January 8-10, 2011. Winners also are highlighted in ASABE's Resource magazine.

"The ASABE has recognized Case IH for its innovative and industry-changing products and technologies in agricultural equipment," says Jim Walker, Case IH vice president of North America. "These awards are a reflection of how Case IH engineers and customers work together to design equipment that specifically meets the demands of their business. Our product development process begins with our customers, and their valuable input helps us create reliable equipment that maximizes their profitability. The 3020 Flex Head is no exception."

For two decades, the AE50 awards have annually recognized the best products introduced the previous year in the agricultural, food and biological systems industries. A panel of experts selects up to 50 winners based on commercial impact, contributions to agriculture and engineering, and advancements in engineering and technological significance. The AE50 is the only awards program of its kind.

About the winning Case IH 3020 Flex Head

The Case IH 3020 Flex Head was developed to handle a wide range of field conditions to increase field time, and improve productivity and grain savings. The 3020 sets itself apart from competitive flex heads with the Case IH-exclusive cutterbar design, which positions the flex head as close to the ground as field conditions require - and is light enough to float over the most adverse conditions. This is possible due to the TerraFlexTM flotation system, which distributes cutterbar ground pressure evenly across the entire width of the head, resulting in a consistent cut and flotation in the most extreme field conditions. The 3020 Flex Head is available in 20-, 25-, 30- and 35-foot flex head sizes.
