Large Square Balers 

Built for high-capacity baling, Case IH LB 3 Series large square balers offer added flexibility to handle a variety of crops with ease. The precompression feeding system delivers uniform bales with an equal number of flakes.

Precompression feeding system:

• Charges the bale chamber only when the precompression chamber is full
• Crop is compressed in a crescent-shaped precompression chamber
• When the flake of material reaches the set density level, sensor paddles are tripped  

Best-In-Class Knotter 

Features reduced stops, increased daily output:

• Improved knotter fan airflow means better cleaning of chaff and dust
  • Fans are controlled from the tractor cab using the electronic baler-control system
• Baler holds 30 twine balls for extended time between reloads
• Bill-hook profile provides longer twine ends for tighter, stronger knots
• Large-diameter knotter brake disc

LB 3 Series large square balers offer multiple monitor options. You can also order the LB333 or LB433 without a monitor if you already have an ISOBUS monitor like the Case IH AFS^® Pro 600. 

In addition to a standard black-and-white monitor, Case IH offers a GPS-ready, 7-in. color monitor that’s adaptable to the baler, as well as tractors, planters, combines and sprayers

For high-density bales that break apart easily for feeding, select from two optional Case IH precutting systems. These systems cut the crop before it enters the precompression chamber.

Pack more crop into each bale, saving on handling and transportation costs. Case IH precutting systems create:

Rotor Cutter System 

For maximum flexibility and bale density, add the optional Case IH rotor cutter to your LB3 Series baler. It uses a large rotor to feed crop from the pickup through a row of knives before entering the precompression area.

Knives give the desired length of cut.  

• Put all knives in place; get the shortest cut: 1.53 in. (39 mm) — LB333 only
  • LB333 rotor cutter — 23 knives
  • LB333 packer cutter — 6 knives, 4.5-in. (114.3-mm) minimum cut length
  • LB433 rotor cutter — 17 knives, 3.1-in. (78.7-mm) minimum cut length
• Knives are controlled hydraulically from the tractor seat
• Easily inspect, sharpen or change rotor cutter knives with a convenient slide-out knife drawer
• Knives are spring loaded to protect them from damage

Packer Cutter System (LB333 only) 

This economical system allows you to:

• Use between two and six knives to adjust crop length from 4.5–10.5 in. (114.3–266.7 mm)
• Push crop into the serrated knives via six heavy-duty, double-packer tines
• Move knives in and out of cutting position hydraulically from the tractor cab, making the switch between processed and unprocessed bales easy

Dual-Bale Ejection System 

A new system with a wider-opening bale chamber and two levers to control bale ejection:

• The bale chamber opens wider than ever to allow trouble-free ejection, no matter how many bales you want to clean out
• One ejects the rear-most bale — allows folding of the roller chute when it’s time to move to the next field
• The second clears out the entire bale chamber at the end of the job or season
• The ejector with its long travel pushes bales completely clear of the chamber

The automatic, centralized grease and oiling system extends the life of the bearings.

Maintaining LB 3 Series large square balers is easy:

• The automatic oiling system sends oil to all chains in the baler driveline
• The centralized automatic greasing system is standard
• Uses an electronic baler control system to send a metered amount of grease to the five blocks, which

Rows of closely spaced tines gather the widest windrows without leaving any crop behind.

Two standard gauge wheels allow the pickup to float over contours and obstacles. 

The Case IH LB 3 Series also features newly modified best-in-class pickup gauge wheels that don’t require tools to make adjustments — a click pin holds the gauge wheel at the height you select.

Connecting an LB 3 Series large square baler to a tractor is simple, thanks to a narrower front frame and hitch.

A slim-tongue drawbar means faster, easier turns with greater maneuverability.

Both the LB333 and LB433 carry 30 balls of twine for nonstop, all-day baling. New best-in-class slacker and twine finger springs offer greater reliability.

Two-piece lift-up side shields reveal:
