There's not a lot that hasn't already been said about 2020 so let's just agree it's been a year like no other, which has challenged our nation and the world and forced us to make fundamental changes to our day-to-day lives. For those with families and friends spread throughout Australia, and across the globe, border closures and restricted travel have made it particularly tough, with restrictions still in place for many as we prepare to celebrate the Christmas/New Year season. Of course, despite the difficulties, we must count ourselves lucky we haven't been impacted as badly by the pandemic as many other countries have been and for that we must be thankful.

In 2020, too, we've been thankful for the rain that finally fell across large parts of drought-stricken eastern Australia, making possible bumper harvests and for many the first harvest they've seen in a number of years. To see new grain records set in some regions has been the best news we could have received in the run up to Christmas. We recognise though that not every area is out of the woods yet, and that much more rain is needed to secure the ongoing prosperity of the sector. It certainly has been a brighter year for many though and for the agriculture industry, COVID-19 hasn't had the impact it has had on other sectors. It has obviously affected the movement of machinery and parts across the world, but we continue to work to minimise this impact on customers and we've appreciated your patience and understanding.
