Case IH extends its dealership for South Korea and unveils two new tractors
27 Sep 2018
Case IH network has recently been expanded, following the appointment of a new dealer in South Korea. The local dealer, Red Devil Tractors (RDT), operates under the nationwide importer, Samjung CMC, with its current 9 branches across the country, and will provide sales and service support for the full range of Case IH equipment in the market.
The announcement was made at the official ceremony held at RDT's premises in Yeoju-si. At the same event, Case IH also presented two new tractor models, the Case IH Optum 300 CVX, winner of "Tractor of the Year" 2017, and the Farmall U 110, a benchmark in the industry for its versatility, manoeuvrability and reliability.
Key requirements for South Korean farming and contracting businesses are the manoeuvrability and compact dimensions of highly versatile and powerful tractors.
Manufactured in St Valentin, Austria, the Optum CVX range consists of two models with the Tier 4B 6.7-litre NEF engines from FPT Industrial, with 270 HP or 300 HP at a rated speed of 2100rpm and a maximum power of 313 HP at 1800rpm. The CVX transmission is carried over from the long wheelbase Puma range and has been reinforced to handle the extra power of the Optum CVX with a strengthened casting, new rear axle and double planetary final drives. This increased weight helps ensure the additional power gets to the ground, but without compromising agility.
The Farmall U 110, manufactured in Jesi, Italy is a benchmark in the industry for its versatility, manoeuvrability and reliability. With its compact dimensions, ease of operation and high power-to-ratio, it is capable of a huge range of tasks. Equipped with the best in class fuel efficient FPT Industrial 3.4 litre F5C engine; 16x16 transmission with automatic Mode; an extensive range of options such as a large air-conditioned cabin, cab and front axle suspension; this tractor is the best partner for a day-long job in comfort.
Agricultural mechanisation in South Korea is pushed at a faster rate and the two new tractors are well-suited for local farmers' desire for powerful, reliable and highly productive machines. With the new dealership, Case IH is continuing its journey to support the country's rapid transformation, by increasing its participation in the market.
