Feeding System

Increase functional performance

Get the job done right with high-capacity features and heavy-duty feeding system. Enhance crop flow and improve feeding into the combine, resulting in smooth crop flow and reduced wear. The 6150 and 7150 combines easily manage 10.7 m headers when fitted with the 85mm lift cylinder option. Benefit from a lift capacity of up to 4,000kg.

Feeder house

Performance of the Axial-Flow combine harvesters begins with the high-performance feeder housing. The rugged feeder with the ability to handle up to 10.7m headers (on 6150 / 7150) matches the volume requirements of the threshing and separating systems. The service-free hydraulic feeder drive belt tensioner allows higher reliability to let you handle harvesting with ease and confidence.
Feeder gearbox
- Lower feeder gearbox handles the high horsepower requirements of chopping corn heads and larger headers
- Intermediate feeder protects the feeder with both a friction clutch on the feeder shaft and a radial pin clutch on the feeder drum, which eliminates the need for belts or chains

Transmission

Two-speed electric shift transmission provides seamless control

This new transmission simplifies operation so you can use first gear for harvest and second gear for roading.

Field mode provides extra high traction to operate in muddy fields and on hillsides, up to 11 kph. Road mode means no gear changes are necessary and provides high traction, when climbing hills pulling a large header.

High- and low-speed ranges allow you to take on different field conditions without shifting.

Easier shifting with improved traction allows you to maximize your harvest window and field productivity.

Threshing & Separating

Control your harvest

We pioneered single rotor development back in the 1960s. Since then, refinements, enhancements and improvements have led to the pinnacle in rotor performance — the AFX rotor. The AFX rotor can be set into many configurations, adapting to both crop and threshing conditions.

150 Series Combines_Threshing and Separating

Transition cone and rotor impellers
- Patented transition cone vanes and rotor impellers sweep crop from the feeder and gently accelerate it to threshing speed
- Requires no feed accelerator
- Transition cone and impeller draw in over 31 cubic metres of air per second through the feeder, providing increased visibility in dusty conditions
AFX rotor
- 30-inch diameter AFX rotor design provides gentle, multiple-pass, grain-on-grain threshing along with centrifugal force separation
Modules and grates
- Lightweight split concave design divides each of the three previous sections into two pieces, providing six lightweight concaves
- Each concave weighs only 17.23kg (half the weight of the previous design)
- Easy access and ability to configure the machine to meet changing crop types
- The in-feed ramp has become a bolt-on individual component, allowing easier configuration, service and maintenance

- Rotor cage delivers gentle, multiple-pass, grain-on-grain threshing and smoother crop flow
- Concentric rotor cage provides positive crop control and is perforated to allow 360-degree maximum-crop separation

Cleaning System

Handle greater capacity on uneven terrain

High-capacity combines need large high-capacity cleaning systems. Axial-Flow combines match cleaning system capacity to the size of the machine, providing superior productivity, grain sample quality and savings. The Cross Flow cleaning fan uses its patented design to deliver consistently clean grain samples no matter the harvest condition.

Auger bed
- Designed to move grain more efficiently, the six-auger system helps maximise throughput
- The left-hand auger rotates in the opposite direction of the other augers to provide even filling of the cleaning area
Cross flow fan
- After entering the fan, a vortex is created, which super charges the air flow, giving a full-balanced flow across the entire sieve
- Air enters the full width of the fan from the top — not the sides — resulting in superior air flow
Tailings design
- Repositioned tailings elevator allows greater access to the right side of the combine for easier service and maintenance

Residue Management

Maintain easy, effective control

The Case IH residue management system is built to handle the tough residue associated with new crop genetics. This system delivers consistency across the larger header widths used on the Axial-Flow 150 Series combines, helps prepare the ground for next year’s crop and can create consistent windrow formations and long straw for baling. From tillage to livestock demands, we offer the widest range of residue management features on the market.

Rotor discharge deflector
- Positioned directly behind the rotor, deflects residue to a central feeding point toward the chopper
- Rotor discharge deflectors can be adjusted from the right-hand side of the combine by a pin that can be placed into four different positions
- Improve windrow formation
Chopper
- Blades are mounted in a chevron pattern, providing better chop quality
- Consistent balancing and improved reliability and durability
- Redesigned to create greater overlap between the counter knives and chopper blades
- Single-point quick-latch system and service lockout allow the entire residue system to swing out for more convenient maintenance
Windrow chute
- Two residue modes (spread and windrow) provide options to meet your residue requirements and improve straw quality
Hydraulically driven spreader
- Hydraulically driven residue spreaders are adjustable in-cab for on-the-go speed control from 300 to 750 rpm
- Adjust spread manually or from the cab to meet your residue requirements

- Larger clean-grain elevator designed to match greater throughput and capacity
Easy access cleanout
- Auger trough slides can be easily removed for quick, convenient cleanout of the clean-grain and tailings augers
High unload rates

- Thanks to high unload rates, grain carts spend less time in the field and under the unloading auger
