Rotary Disc Mowers Conditioners

Case IH DC 2 and DC 3 Series rotary disc mower conditioners deliver fast cutting and high-quality conditioning. Choose from four models, built to handle a variety of crops. Flail conditioning option is available for all models and provides more thorough drying in grass type crops.

DC 3 Series features

Conditioning Systems

Conditioning systems generate high quality feed to maximize your profits.

RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Efficiency
  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Efficiency-ConditioningSystems

    Large disc cutterbar
The large disc cutter bar is designed with close to a 1-to-1 ratio cut to conditioning width as requested by our customers. Wider conditioners were designed to provide a thinner crop mat which passes through the conditioning system more easily to provide improved, consistent, and thorough crop conditioning for faster dry down. The wider swath provides greater sun exposure and improves natural dry down. This design reduces crop travel between cutterbar and conditioners which minimizes plugging, especially in cane, energy and high-volume crops and also aids in the elimination of co-rotating discs on a 13 ft. model and one set on the 16 ft. model.

  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Efficiency-ConditioningSystems

Simplified drivelines and shielding The driveshaft is placed on the left-hand end only to reduce clutter, cost, and provide a more robust appearance. The swivel gearbox does not require steering link; the PTO shafts maintain perfect alignment, and poly, bi-fold upper shielding is lighter and provides easier access, more damage resistant, if a shield is inadvertently left open and the unit is pivoted.

Modular cutterbed

Focus on feed quality

The DC3 series disc mower conditioners provide industry leading cut and crimp for superior hay quality and optimal windrow formation.

RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Performance
  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Performance-ModularCutterbed

Optimal cut & crimp for highest quality hay Low-profile cutterbar with wide disc cuts closer and more cleanly to encourage faster crop regrowth. Its agronomic design improvements help maintain your harvest’s quality and ability to retain nutrients. The updated cutterbar improves crop flow and creates more even windrows and gives you consistently, faster, more even dry down thanks to the industry-leading conditioning roll widths.

  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Performance-ModularCutterbed

    Designed for easy, uninterrupted use
Easy machine adjustments provide the flexibility you need to meet individual and varied crop preparation standards. No-tools required adjustment of conditioners, swath doors and swath boards for easy in-field adjustments. Lightweight, impact-resistance access doors provide simplified access for any adjustment. Maintenance is minimized thanks to fewer discs and a simplified drive system while more counter-rotating discs provide efficient crop feeding into conditioners.

  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Performance-ModularCutterbed

    Ready when you need it
Simplified drive system with fewer parts; added durability thanks to larger gears, bearings and interconnecting shafts. Modular cutterbar design provides superior lubrication compared to competitive systems, and eliminates cross-contamination if an internal failure were to occur. Shock protection system saves time and money when obstacles are encountered.

Cutterbar/ Co-Rotating Disc systems

Larger heavier components provide you with long-lasting durability
  • The cutterbar on the new DC3 series mower conditioners will feature the same large disc cutterbar system as that on the RD3 series disc headers for the WD4 series Self Propelled Windrowers. The combination of larger disc diameters and wider conditioning systems allows the crop to move rearward, off the cutterbar, more quickly which improves crop flow and windrow consistency in tall crops.<

DC2 Features

The most reliable Rotary Disk cutterbed anywhere

Rotary Disc Mower Conditioners have the most reliable rotary disc cutterbed anywhere; it survives the toughest cutting conditions with minimum maintenance.

RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Reliability
  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Reliability-DC2Features

DC2 Disc mower conditioners DC2 Disc Mower Conditioners features a modular cutterbar design with superior crop flow, resulting in less streaking. A heavy-duty frame and rugged canopy has a cantilevered design for smooth crop flow across the cutterbar. Shock hubs are now standard on all models; with roll and flail conditioning options available on all models.

  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Reliability-DC2Features

Shock hubs Shock hubs are now standard on all four models of DC Series rotary disc mower conditioners. The system replaces the drive hub of discs with a shock hub, making in-field repairs fast and easy, and helps prevent time-robbing, expensive field failures when an obstruction is encountered. The shock hub takes the blow from collisions with rocks and debris and protects internal components of the cutterbed.

  • RotaryDiscMowerConditioners-Reliability-DC2Features

Disc modules Bearings, gears and lubricant for each disc module are individually sealed ensure that damage to one module does not spread to another. The modular design ensures complete gear lubrication, even when cutting on slopes. Two heavy-duty reversible knives on each disc spin at 3000 rpm to slice through heavy crops. One bolt per knife allows for quick flipping or replacing of knives from the front of the cutterbed, without raising the header. The steep profile design lifts the crop directly into conditioning rolls and discs are austempered for extra hardness and durability in punishing conditions.

    • Bale or chop sooner
    • Spiral steel-on-steel or rubber-on-rubber conditioning rolls  provide fast drydown
    • Saves time in the field by clearing slugs automatically
    • Allows for easy changes in conditioning intensity
    • Custom-built windrows or swaths
    • Spread the crop out in a wide, fast-drying swath
    • Form the crop into a narrow, fluffy windrow that’s ready for  baling or chopping
    • All  adjustments to the swathboard, windrow shields and fluffing baffle can be made  without tools
    • Conditioning rolls
    • Torsion-bar design
    • Applies equal force to the upper conditioning roll arms
    • Provides uniform conditioning, regardless of crop thickness
    • Intermeshing spiral conditioning rolls have superior crimping and  crushing action for faster drydown
    • Rubber-on-rubber conditioning rolls are standard on DC92, DC102 and  DC132
    • Rugged steel-on-steel rolls
    • Standard on DC162, optional on DC102 and DC132
    • Easily handle higher crop volume and faster ground speeds
    • Delivers longer life
    • No-tools crank adjustment
    • Changing conditioning roll pressure is quick and easy for greater  productivity
    • The  system releases pressure when the upper roll reaches its maximum opening
    • Flail conditioning
    • Now available with all models
    • Uses tapered flails to pick up crop and rub it together and against the conditioning hood
    • Faster drydown because the waxy layer on the stems is removed and  moisture is released quickly
    • Straight flails release crop more easily than competitive systems
    • Produce a more uniform crop mat that lays on top of the stubble
    • Results in better air circulation in the windrow and more thorough drying
