Case IH delivers Sugarcane Harvester fleet to Mitr Phol Sugar’s farmers in Thailand

08 Nov 2018

Case IH has recently delivered a fleet of 14 Austoft® 8000 Series sugarcane harvesters to Mitr Phol Sugar's farmers.

Mitr Phol Sugar is a subsidiary of Mitr Phol Group, which is one of Thailand's leading sugar and bioenergy producers.

The handover events were held in the northeastern provinces of Chaiyaphum, Khonkaen and Kalasin and have been attended by more than 30 farmers.

In its unceasing drive for improvement of the sugarcane production, Mitr Phol Sugar first tried a Case IH sugarcane harvester six years ago.

Today 50 Austoft 8000 harvesters operate in its sugarcane fields. Their exceptional productivity, and the cleanness of the sugarcane billets they deliver to the mill, enables the exceptionally efficient production of high quality sugar. In addition, factory-fitted GPS and an on-board data logger allow the monitoring and recording of various georeferenced parameters and create analytical reports and maps to improve productivity, which well suit Mitr Phol's commitment to embracing modern farming methods.

Equally important is the support Case IH is providing Mitr Phol in comprehensive training programmes for harvester operators and service technicians. By training on a sugarcane harvester simulator and on real machines in the field, operators learn how to optimise machine performance. And by being shown daily maintenance routines and troubleshooting procedures, technicians learn how to ensure the machines run with supreme reliability and minimum downtime.
