LUGANO, Switzerland - (April 30, 2013) - Case IH presented a selection of tractor models to members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan at a dedicated event held in Ashgabat at the Union’s Auditorium on April 29.
Case IH selected three models for presentation at the event: the utility JX95 4WD tractor for specialty row-crop applications; the new Maxxum 125, well suited to livestock operations, row-crop farming and transportation; and the new Puma 155, a versatile machine equally well suited as a row-crop tractor and as a work horse for broad acre use.
The Union, which celebrated its 5th Anniversary last March, encourages investment activities of domestic and foreign companies. The private sector benefits from State support, which includes various tax-credit benefits and leasing options to support the country’s fledgling private agribusiness sector.
Case IH, which is part of CNH - Case New Holland - and Fiat Industrial, is present in Turkmenistan since 1994, when it delivered its first combines and cotton pickers. Over the years, Case IH has worked closely with the Turkmen Government to develop the Country’s agribusiness sector and increase its productivity with the introduction of the most advanced farming technologies and equipment, such as the famous Magnum tractors. Since 1994 Case IH has supplied to the Government over 1,500 Magnum tractors to plough the tough and unique soil conditions of the wheat and cotton fields and for seedbed preparation. The strength and durability of the Magnum tractor are hallmarks of all Case IH products offered in Turkmenistan and around the world.
In 2011 CNH opened a representative office in Ashgabat, enabling Case IH to be closer to its customers and to further support the development of local agriculture.
Today Case IH is the leading player in the agricultural equipment segment in the country, holding first place in the tractor market and second for cotton pickers and combine harvesters with its well-known Axial-Flow® single rotor technology.
IPC Agri, Case IH’s local sales and service provider, was also present at the event where it provided information on the Case IH machinery.
