Range topping 2023 Steiger AFS Connect™ and Quadtrac AFS Connect tractors deliver up to 692hp / Latest AFS Connect telematics technology enhances performance and productivity / New heavy-duty three-point hitch, and drawbar / Exceptional hydraulic performance - up to 428 l/min flowrate.
Case IH has enhanced the specification and performance of its flagship tractors, the wheeled Steiger AFS Connect™ and tracked Quadtrac AFS Connect ranges for 2023. Producing up to 692hp from FPT Cursor 13 12.9 litre, 6-cylinder engines with Enhanced Hi-eSCR Stage V technology and exceptional hydraulics which provide a maximum 428 l/min flowrate for up to eight electro-hydraulic remote valves, further Improving performance and useability.
In line with any other Case IH AFS Connect tractors, these range-topping models are intuitive and exceptionally comfortable to drive. The ergonomic, customisable controls which form part of the new operator interface providing three ways to be in control: either direct access through the roof control panel; the AFS Pro 1200 touch screen monitor; or via the encoder with hot keys for quick access on the Multicontroller armrest. Ease of control is further improved by advanced vehicle ergonomics, including industry leading colour changing remote valve paddles and configurable buttons for different applications or operating preferences.
Farm owners and managers can administer and optimise farm, fleet, and management data from a desktop PC in the office or on a mobile device, at any time. They can extend this further with remote capabilities such as remote screen sharing, enabling, for example, permission-based dealer remote uptime support.
Full power is delivered to the ground by the Quadtrac AFS Connect tractors’ articulated steering and Tri-Point Oscillation. Providing 26° of oscillation, both upwards and downwards, Tri-Point Oscillation increases traction and reduces track slip, resulting in greater pulling power.
The four tracks, which are individually and positively driven, distribute weight evenly over a total footprint of 5.6m² and maintain ground contact at all times to ensure 100% power transfer. Each track effectively puts five axles on the ground, maximising contact with the soil and delivering maximum performance, yet with exceptionally low ground pressure. Even the largest model in the range, the Quadtrac 620 weighing 28,000kg, exerts just 0.5 kg/cm², the equivalent of a 100kg person standing on one leg, yet it will pull the largest implements in the toughest conditions.
New three-point hitch
The new heavy duty three-point hitch further improves durability, daily use handling, maintenance, and serviceability, providing up to 5% increased lift capacity and greater flexibility, matching high power demand implements and applications perfectly. It is a key product enhancement for 2023, compatible with previous Steiger and Quadtrac models.
The new tractors also feature a factory CAT 5 drawbar with exceptional load capacity, a CAT 4 adapter pin and bushing being provided to ensure wide compatibility and flexibly. Case IH offer the option of a new 6-spool combo coupler with three ½" and three ¾" fittings to better prepare the tractor for customers who operate large air seeding equipment.
Franz Josef Silber, Case IH Product Marketing Manager for High Horsepower Tractors, states: “2023 model year Case IH Steiger AFS Connect and Quadtrac AFS Connect tractors offer even greater performance, efficiency and functionality, providing owners with the freedom to farm how they want and achieve maximum return on their investment.”
