RACINE, Wis. — Case IH is excited to announce the selection of the
Case IH Patriot® 4430 sprayer for the 2012 CropLife® IRON ShowStopper award at
the Midwest Ag Industries Exposition (MAGIE) in Bloomington, Ill.
“We are honored to have the industry recognize the Patriot 4430 and its
performance and efficiency that allow operators to cover more acres with less
fuel,” says Mark Burns, Case IH Application Equipment Marketing Manager. The
Case IH Patriot 4430 is the first sprayer to join the Case IH Efficient Power
family, using Selective Catalytic Reduction technology to meet EPA Tier 4A
compliance while providing more fuel efficiency and power.
CropLife IRON ShowStopper Award
The Midwest Ag Industries Exposition showcases the best application equipment
and products in agriculture each August.
The ShowStopper award “is given to that one product at the MAGIE show that
literally stops attendee traffic, keeping everyone buzzing all day long,”
explains Eric Sfiligoj, Editor of CropLife IRON. This year, the award was based
on formal voting by MAGIE attendees.
This is the second CropLife IRON award for the Patriot 4430 sprayer. In
December 2011, the Patriot 4430 won the magazine’s Product of the Year award.
“The Product of the Year is similar to a People’s Choice award,” says Sfiligoj.
“The Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer received more than half of all votes received,
making it a clear choice for this honor.”
Increased Power, Efficiency
The Patriot 4430 uses a Case IH FPT 8.7-liter engine rated at 325 base
horsepower, with a boost to 356 horsepower to cover more acres faster.
“This is more than a 12 percent increase in both base and boost horsepower
over previous models,” says Burns. “Customers tell us how they appreciate the
Patriot 4430’s increased power, better fuel efficiency and accurate
application.”
Patriot sprayers are known for their accurate application. AFS® AccuGuide™
automated guidance helps reduce skips and overlaps, while the AutoBoom™
automatic boom height control maintains optimum spray height for better
coverage. The optional Case IH-exclusive AIM Command® spray system maintains
both a constant rate and pressure under a range of speeds and conditions.
More Cab Comfort
The Patriot 4430 also features an enhanced Surveyor™ cab design that offers
exceptional cab space with 132 cubic feet of interior space and more than 90
square feet of total glass for better visibility.
“Case IH engineers kept customers’ needs for operational efficiency and
comfort in mind with the Patriot 4430,” says Burns. “Vast amounts of cab glass
offer unrestricted visibility to the front and sides. The seat-mounted control
console moves with the seat for near-effortless operation of sprayer controls.”
The cab-forward, rear-engine Patriot design provides more equal weight
distribution, allowing operators to get into wet fields earlier with less
rutting and soil compaction.
“These two ‘People’s Choice’ awards the Case IH Patriot 4430 has received
from CropLife IRON are the result of listening to our customers and meeting
their requests for operational efficiency and accurate, timely application,”
Burns says. “We understand that application windows are narrow and every hour in
the field counts. Patriot sprayers are designed to let operators work longer,
and that’s what continues to set Patriot sprayers apart.”
