Not every farm or farming application requires pinpoint sub-inch accuracy.
Case IH lets you decide the level of accuracy that fits the way you farm and your operation’s goals. Whether you need a high, medium or low level of precision, we can help you select the best option.

Sub-inch accuracy is ideal for strip-till or for maintaining consistent wheel traffic across fields season after season, year after year. In many applications, such as seeding or harvesting cereal grains, spreading dry fertilizer or tillage, 3- to 5-inch (medium) accuracy provides an appropriate level of overlap management. When accuracy and repeatability aren’t the driving factors for adding precision technology to your farming operation, low accuracy options effectively meet your needs.

Accuracy Defined

Pass-to-Pass Accuracy

Pass-to-pass accuracy measures the relative accuracy over a 15-minute interval. This is usually thought of as guess row error when driving rows, or as skip/overlap from one pass to the next when driving swaths. A Case IH GPS receiver with pass-to-pass accuracy of +/- four inches means you get less than four inches skip or overlap, 95% of the time.
Year-to-Year Accuracy

Year-to-year accuracy is the measure of repeatable accuracy that you can drive the same rows a day, week, month, or year later. So, +/- one inch year-to-year accuracy means you can drive the same rows next year within one inch of this year’s rows, 95% of the time.

Sub-inch Accuracy

CenterPoint^™ RTK
Choose CenterPoint RTK when you can connect to an established RTK base station or base station network within 8 miles of where you plan to conduct field operations.
- Accuracy: less than 1 inch
- Initialization/convergence: less than one minute
- Ideal for row crops, strip tilling, land leveling, hilling, bedding and drainage applications in which the best horizontal and vertical accuracy is required
CenterPoint RTX
Choose CenterPoint RTX when you're operating outside of RTK base station coverage areas. CenterPoint RTX provides the accuracy you need wherever you farm.
- Accuracy: less than 1.5 inches
- Initialization/convergence: less than one minute
- Use with the AFS 372 receiver, or FM-1000 or FM-750 display
CenterPoint VRS
Choose CenterPoint VRS when you farm in areas with robust cellular coverage or if your operations are spread out over a large geographic area. This is an excellent option for use with row crops, strip-till and other applications requiring sub-inch accuracy.
- Accuracy: less than 1 inch
- Initialization/convergence: less than one minute

Medium Accuracy

OmniSTAR^® HP
Choose OmniSTAR HP for high-performance broadacre seeding, spraying and harvesting applications in areas with open views of the sky at all times.
- Accuracy: 2 to 4 inches
- Initialization/convergence: standard
OmniSTAR XP
OmniSTAR XP is best suited for high-performance broadacre spraying and land-tillage applications in areas with open views of the sky at all times.
- Accuracy: 3 to 5 inches
- Initialization/convergence: standard
OmniSTAR G2
Choose OmniSTAR G2 when more reliable coverage time is necessary, due to the use of GLONASS satellites in addition to the standard GPS satellites. Use only in areas with open views of the sky at all times.
- Accuracy: 3 to 5 inches
- Initialization/convergence: standard

Low Accuracy

WAAS
Choose WAAS when you want a quick start-up time and don't need the highest level of accuracy or repeatability. WAAS is a good option for broadacre crop spraying, tillage applications and other applications where accuracy and repeatability aren't your highest priorities.
- Accuracy: 1 meter
- Initialization/convergence: less than one minute
OmniSTAR VBS
Choose OmniSTAR VBS when a quick start-up time is your top priority. OmniSTAR VBS is a good choice for broadacre crop spraying, tillage and other applications in which accuracy and repeatability aren't necessarily your top objectives.
- Pass-to-pass accuracy: 6 to 8 inches
- Repeatable accuracy: 20 inches
- Initialization/convergence: less than one minute
RangePoint RTX
RangePoint RTX is best suited for situations when you don't require the highest level of accuracy or repeatability, such as for broadacre crop spraying, tillage applications and other applications.
- Pass-to-pass accuracy: less than 6 inches
- Repeatable accuracy: less than 20 inches
- Initialization/convergence: five minutes

The AFS 372 is a GPS/GLONASS receiver capable of a wide range of accuracy levels, including sub-inch repeatability year over year. The 372 receiver utilizes WAAS as a standard no-charge correction while RangePoint RTX, OmniSTAR, CenterPoint RTX, CenterPoint VRS and CenterPoint RTK correction signals are all available with additional upgrades.

AFS AccuStar provides an economical GNSS solution for producers of all sizes and vintages of equipment. The receiver pairs perfectly with ElectriSteer to add assisted steering to your Case IH or competitive vehicle. AFS AccuStar is compatible with the AFS Pro 300 or AFS Pro 700 display and can utilize the latest correction types, AFS1 and AFS2.
