NEW PUMA LEADS CASE IH AWARD WINNERS AT AGROTECH 2023

Gold for new Puma 260 CVXDrive tractor at Agrotech show in Poland / Award for exhibition stand/ Distinction for XPower XPU electrical weed killer.

Case IH scooped up the medals at the Polish AGROTECH 2023 show, with awards for its new Puma 260 CVXDrive tractor and for its exhibition stand at the event. Held at the Targi Kielce exhibition centre 150km south of Warsaw, the 28th AGROTECH hosted 450 exhibitors from 15 countries, attracting many thousands of visitors. Sister brand AGXTEND™ also received a Distinction for its XPower XPU electric weed killer.

The event’s Targi Kielce Gold Medal went to the Puma 260 CVXDrive “for design and solutions which enhance work efficiency, for improved comfort and safety”. The jury evaluated functional properties, effectiveness of use, product quality and aesthetics, as well as the impact on the natural environment and their novelty on the market.

Technology upgrade
It is the first Puma to incorporate Case IH’s AFS Connect technology which provides field and fleet planning, analysis and remote data sharing. It also allows remote monitoring, support and troubleshooting, so minimising tractor downtime. ​

The new cab is larger and quieter than on previous Pumas, with automotive standards of materials and a range of easy-to-use control features. The tractor’s smooth CVXDrive continuously variable transmission is capable of a maximum 40 or 50kph, with top speed on 50kph models attainable at 1,550rpm for minimal fuel consumption.

The XPower XPU, powered by Zasso, an electrical weed control solution from AGXTEND, was awarded a Distinction. The solution has been specially developed for applications across all paved surfaces typically found in the urban environment, in order to control invasive plants without the use of chemicals.
