Case IH is to again be the exclusive sponsor of PotatoEurope, the continent’s largest field demonstration of equipment for the potato sector, marking the 17th year it has supplied the demonstration’s tractor power. The event takes place on Wednesday/Thursday September 3-4, just 60km from Amsterdam in one of the Netherlands’ most important potato growing regions. The venue is Wageningen University, Lelystad, and online registration at
www.potatoeurope.nl entitles visitors to free entrance, parking and a show guide.
A fleet of 20 Case IH Puma and Maxxum tractors will be powering the equipment on the plots. They will demonstrate the value of features such as the CVX continuously-variable transmission in providing the best combination of engine and forward speed for maximum efficiency during precision potato field tasks. Visitors will also be able to experience the benefits of the latest Case IH FieldOps™ technology, with practical demonstrations of applications showing exactly how operating data is instantly recorded, transferred and stored in the FieldOps web/mobile portal to aid decision-making and planning.
“PotatoEurope provides invaluable contact with professional potato growers, and a unique opportunity for us to evaluate the field performance of our machines and onboard solutions,” says Matthias Claerbout, Marketing Manager Benelux at Case IH.
“We are particularly looking forward to demonstrating how FieldOps can enhance machine efficiency by allowing users to manage their machine fleets on a single platform. FieldOps provides near real-time machine monitoring and location tracking, agronomic data analysis for optimal crop management, proactive dealer support, and full insight into operational efficiency and performance – critical information for potato growers and contractors. With the new ‘Connectivity Included’ feature for eligible machine models, Case IH tractor customers also benefit from connectivity features without recurring subscription fees.”*
