Harvest Prep with FieldOps
Let Case IH FieldOps® be your partner this harvest season
Let’s face it. Harvest season is a whirlwind of activity with hundreds of decisions being made throughout the day and night, and that’s just to get the crop out of the field. Stack on weather delays, ensuring equipment is located in the right fields, lines at the elevator, and making plans for 2026 seed, fertilizer and weed management programs…there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. That’s where Case IH FieldOps can become your trusted companion. FieldOps is your all-in-one management solution that puts everything into one place: from fleet management to detailed agronomic data. Best of all, it’s already part of your connected equipment.
“Case IH FieldOps is a single platform where customers can manage their equipment, collect and compile agronomic information, and use this information to make more informed management decisions,” explains Payton Niekamp, regional precision manager with Case IH. “And the information is available anywhere, at any time.”
Niekamp says. “We want all our customers to utilize all the tools of FieldOps. While every producer is different and may have different needs, FieldOps can be tailored to every operation.”
“We have developed FieldOps to be easy to use, with current and historical information available in an instant,” he says. “If you want crop information from several years ago and compare it to today, you can access that information and make the comparison anywhere, either in your office or on your phone. And you can import data from older management systems so it resides in one place.”
Downloading FieldOps
FieldOps is available anywhere from the convenience of your office or your smartphone.
FieldOps can be accessed via your web browser at www.fieldops.caseih.com. For your smartphone, visit your Android/Apple app store.
The website contains a complete library of resources to help you get started if you are new to FieldOps or provide detailed information to users familiar with the program. There are FAQs, manuals and videos that range from basic setup to minute details. And as always, your local Case IH dealer can help.
“That opens the door to FieldOps,” Niekamp says. And that unleashes the full potential of how FieldOps can be part of your management system.
Tracking Equipment
Knowing where equipment is located is only part of harvest coordination. That’s where FieldOps shines. Producers who own current connected Case IH equipment can take full advantage of all features available on FieldOps. Newer equipment comes standard with a lifetime connectivity, and older equipment can purchase lifetime connectivity for a one-time fee.
Add each connected machine through your account and you can instantly access all real-time machine data and information through FieldOps. In addition to tracking the equipment, you can remotely access all pertinent operational data to ensure every task is done at peak efficiency.
Want to connect all your equipment? Your local Case IH dealer offers a low-cost telematics modem that can be mounted to any vehicle, from tractors operating grain carts, to semis, to ATVs. “We have growers who will add these modems to their semis. While they are in the field, they can access precise location to coordinate a grain dump,” Niekamp says. “That not only saves time, but you can eliminate unnecessary trips across the field that can waste fuel and increase compaction.”
Agronomic information at your fingertips
During any field activity, from planting to harvest, you collect a lot of data. With FieldOps, all that data resides in one place for quick, easy access, whether that be reviewing fertility in a certain field, how your weed management program performed, or how a certain variety or hybrid performed. All that information is collected and available when you are making those important management decisions.
“With FieldOps, you can access planting information to evaluate how a variety or hybrid performed while that data is being collected at harvest,” Niekamp says. “And you can share that information with your trusted advisors to get more precise information.”
Field Boundaries
A key initial step with FieldOps is to establish field boundaries. And whether you drive the field to map out a boundary, or import that information from a third-party source, your field maps are available through your FieldOps account. FieldOps knows where you are harvesting, so it logs all data for that particular field. “Best of all, you can see that harvest information whether you are operating the combine or back at the office,” Niekamp says. “When I talk with producers, I have some growers who have never used the field boundary feature. The best way to draw field boundaries is to use a connected vehicle and drive the boundary. If you have existing boundaries, you can import that information directly to FieldOps.”
Growers then can use various maps to visualize their fields, whether it is yield information, fertility, herbicide application or fungicide use.
“I have spent the summer talking with customers about FieldOps and the value it holds for their operations,” Niekamp says. “And a lot of growers want to utilize it for harvest, and rightfully so. But once customers start using FieldOps, the questions then focus on how to expand its use into their entire operation.”
